Kirimon is a general term for family crests, which are stylized leaves and flowers of the paulownia tree,
which is a tree of the Scrophulariaceae family.
Also known as the paulownia flower crest.
In the Muromachi Shogunate, it was stamped on coins such as oval coins.
Since then, it has been used by various governments such as the Imperial Family and Toyotomi administration
in addition to the Muromachi Shogunate, and is now used as the emblem of the Japanese government.
