Iron, 67X70X3mm, iron tsuba signed on the reverse "Kaneshige." Mid Edo period. This is what a tsuba is all about, a plate in purist form made for protection without all the fancy sukashi or inlay work. An honest piece and cheaper than many of the beautiful reproduction junk tsuba.
